Zsuzsanna Eke is a theoretical lecturer of the Built Heritage Conservation Training, being responsible for delivering the Short History of Bánffy Castle and presenting in detail the location of the training.
Zsuzsanna is an art historian with a solid background in medieval studies and extensive experience in cultural (especially built) heritage research and conservation. She has conducted research related to Bánffy Castle in Bonțida, contributing to its documentation and promotion by organising guided tours and writing informative materials in Romanian, Hungarian and English. She also has extensive experience in preparing art history studies and archival research for various restoration projects.
With a BA in History and Art History from the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and an MA in Medieval Studies from the Central European University in Budapest, Zsuzsanna has extended her expertise through the Postgraduate Course on Historic Building Conservation, receiving her diploma in 2010. She is currently responsible for the running of this course, which has been renamed in 2020 Training and Professional Development Programme in Built Heritage Conservation and Rehabilitation and is held at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of History and Philosophy.
